purposefully evading the drizzle
the man in the red leather jacket
walked slowly through the meadow

old brown alligators wrapped round his feet
crunching with each step the debris left
from storms long past and forgotten falls

?What have we here??

spoken to no one, yet announcing to the world
discovery of a crumpled crusty coin

?Were I to stoop, to reach for that silvery
waste, would I better of it? Or would I take
the time to find that it was nothing,
a forgotten token with a great history
of which no one remembers nor cares.
Or should I walk on??

.... there once was so much behind all of this, now there is nothing. looking back on a faded reflection of something never quite understood nor grasped... maybe its better... they say time heals but is a void better than a knot?
